Situated deep in the heart of the Surrey countryside, Epsom Downs racecourse welcomes thousands of fans and the best flat racers in the world through their gates every summer, as they all prepare to take part in the Epsom Derby Festival. Fans lucky enough to gain entry into this famous racecourse during the two-day festivities will be treated to the best entertainment any socialite or sports fan could hope to experience.

The first day of the Epsom Derby Festival, traditionally held on the first Friday of June, is known as Ladies Day. Attendees are encouraged to wear their finest racing garments, adhering with course guidelines and fashion trends befitting a meeting of this calibre. Along with a card packed from the first to the last race with high class contests, female racegoers are invited to enter the Style Awards, where the best dressed entrant will be rewarded with a fantastic array of prizes.

Saturday at the Epsom Festival is all about the Epsom Derby – one of the most historic, lucrative and famous flat races in the world of sport. The best three-year-old’s in training will take to the track on Saturday afternoon to contest the 247th renewal of this incredible race. 12 furlongs of turf will have to be covered at break-neck pace, with only the strongest equine athlete able to walk away with the massive first place and a place in the annals of sporting history.

Whilst the superb sporting action takes centre stage, guests are free to enjoy the delicious refreshments offered up by the racecourse. Following the conclusion of the final race each day, DJ sets from notable names in the music industry will ensure the good times carry through into the evening, making the Epsom Derby Festival a wonderful, quintessential experience of summertime here in Britain.

For those of you who are dreaming of attending the Epsom Derby Festival, there are various general and hospitality ticket options available to be purchased, either over the phone or online.

Family enclosure tickets are the most child-friendly option, if you would like to bring the whole household with you for a day at the races. Child and adult ticket options are also available in the Grandstand, where ticket holders will enjoy a fantastic view of the racetrack, the parade ring and the winners’ enclosure.

The premier grandstand at Epsom is the Queen’s Stand, which is located right along the winning line and gives spectators the perfect view of the action and the winners, as they lap up the applause and a well-deserved drink after the race. For the more casual racing enthusiasts amongst us, Pedestrian tickets can be purchased into the Lonsdale and Upper Tattenham enclosures, where ticket holders can stand right up against the rails, whilst enjoying various refreshments and great access to the betting ring.

Duchess and Queen’s Stand Private Boxes can be purchased for groups wanting a more exclusive racing experience. Tickets in the Tattenham Straight Marquee, The Winning Post, the Downs View Suit and the Derby Suit can be purchased, allowing guests to enjoy the racing alongside ascending levels of culinary delights and silver-spoon waiting services. A table can also be booked in the Blue Ribbon restaurant, where diners will enjoy a lavish, four-course a la carte menu designed by multiple Michelin Star holders, Michel and Albert Roux.

Fans of a more alfresco dining experience will look towards the Great British Hamper and Great British Picnic ticket options. Racegoers can enjoy the action from the picnic area in the Tattenham Straight Enclosure, presenting fans with a fantastic view of the final furlong, a premier three course picnic menu and a fun, relaxed atmosphere at one of Britain’s premier sporting events.
